Novelty

The Spokeless Wheelchair provides unmatched maneuverability coupled with an exquisite aesthetic appeal. While delivering performance and comfort, it also provides safety for the users and bystanders. The hubless mechanism reduces the chances of entanglement. Be it limbs or any other object. Also, the angled wheels lower the center of mass, giving enhanced stability under immense load.

Project Abstract

This spokeless wheelchair eliminates spoke-related hazards with a hubless wheel system. Where the custom wheels move in tandem with a stationary inner rim with the aid of the internal ball bearing structure. The wheels are tilted outward (≈10°), lowering the center of mass, thereby increasing stability and ease of use. A forward-activated brake enhances control. Quality-of-life features include push handles, a detachable tray table, storage bins within the hollow wheel, and a folding mechanism for transport.
